Calla Lily Cascade Necklace

by Terah
(California, United States)

This asymmetrical Calla Lily Necklace is an ultimately feminine fusion of several wirework and beadweaving techniques - creating a very unique statement necklace. I created the Calla Lilies by weaving hundreds of silky, satin-like beads together. The stamen is represented by a stunning iridiscent, modern-cut Swarovski Crystal.

The neck piece is viking-knit in a pink toned silver-plated wire and finishes with a custom clasp offset in the front. To add visual weight & balance, there is a small faceted rose quartz bead and crystals dangling in the front.

This piece was inspired by my own garden of large, white Calla Lilies. They were especially lush one year & I decided someday they would become part of my jewelry! I've been working with beads/beadweaving for 20+ years, and have more recently given into the love of wire-woven jewelry as well. So this necklace is representative of that journey.
