Catchy Name For My Jewelry Business

by Marilyn Ferguson
(Brisbane, Australia)

I am starting a handmade jewelry business. Need a catchy name? I make jewelry with Silver, Copper & Gold wire... I wire wrap gemstones and shells, etc. I'm pretty sure I want the name to involve the word "Wire" but want something catchy! Here are some I came up with that I'm not real happy with... Anyone have any better suggestions?

"Wired Up"
"Heavy Metalz"
"Wire Designs by Marilyn"
"Wonderful Wire Designs"

?????
Thanks!

Use Your Own Name For Your Business
by:

Because your jewelry business specializes in one particular medium or style of jewelry then why not use your own name. Such as Marilyn Ferguson, Jewelry Artist, or Marilyn Ferguson, Wired Designs.

If you have built a reputation for quality and unique designs, it is acceptable to use your name as the name of your jewelry business, but try to avoid using your first name alone.

Wouldn't you prefer to hear someone say: "That piece was made by the jewelry designer (or wire artist), Marilyn Ferguson." rather than, "I bought this bracelet at a craft show, I think it was made by someone named Marilyn."

There is nothing wrong with using your own name, all the famous designers in the world are known for their names. Donna Karran of New York, Kalvin Klien, Oscar DeLarenta, Christine Dior, Laura Ashley, Levi Strauss, are all well known designer names and consumers pay high prices to own products with these names on them.

As a jewelry designer you too could turn your name into a recognition.
