"Jessie" Beaded Turquoise Necklace

by New World Elegance
(California, USA)

This handmade bead necklace is 16-1/2 inches long and 3 inches wide in the center including fringes. It features a sky blue color with shades of turquoise accented with tiny golden ornament and embroidered over the net base. It has a small black and golden lizard attached to the left of cabochon. This piece features an unusually intricate design and highly skillful and rarely seen complicated handiwork. This piece is from our Nassau Collection.

Inspiration:
Sapphire blue waters, emerald green bays and golden white sandy beaches are what comes to ones imagination or memories when the Bahamas Islands are mentioned. Nassau is its main port of commerce and trade that is steeped in history with images of colorful pirates, flowery bandanas and jugs of rum. The Nassau collection brings you all this gaiety and more in the pieces of fine craftsmanship, intricate design and beautiful colors.

Who are we?
We are two people that love to produce beautiful bead jewelry. We take our lives and spend them in very beautiful places in the world and while there we are inspired to create designs with the vast array of bead materials. We experiment in new techniques and apply new ways to create super elegant, handmade, custom bead necklaces, earrings and bracelets amongst other things. Our pieces are a reflection of our environment. Thus when we are near the ocean we create jewelry that makes us feel about the ocean and all things around and in it.

honest admiration NEW
by: carol maureen

your collective work is lovely. do you work together on si gle pieces? LOVE the lizard. puts it beyond ornament & into story telling mode. i started designing about a year ago, because i found a stone named "pietersite" & had a cousin peter who was attempting sobriety. i made him a stretchybracelet! well it was a start. you can see my strange work on etsy.com, search for DoubleDawgStudios. i am told it is quite original although i would admit the skillset is not in your league. it is the collective emanation of the stones used that interests me most. next i plan to learn chain maille. and apply the technique in some unexpected, hooligan hybrid manner.

thanks for sharing your work. i spiration for the day!
