Jewelry Displays at retail outlets

by Rhonda
(St. Louis, MO)

I am interested in starting a jewelry business. When talking to a potential customer, do you mostly set up the displays yourself? Are they to be provided by the jewelry maker or the shop owner. What is the normal procedure. I'm thinking about small boutique type outlets.

Thanks for your time

Jewelery Displays at Retail Outlets
by: Anonymous

I have jewelery in two retail shops. One I had to furnish the displays and in the other they display it on theirs. It all depends on the store. Talk to them, if you are just starting out and don't have any or many displays ask if they can help you out by letting you use theirs. I have one shop owner that offered to get me displays at cost. I like to use my own displays, because I can set them up the way I want and my jewelery doesn't get mixed up with the comercial jewelery or with other designer's wears.

Buying Jewelry Displays

You should buy custom display for sure if you can afford it. It goes a long way towards selling your jewelry, trust me.
