please I need help with design process, Im stuck

by Lou
(London UK)

I would love to get some tips or exercises on how to think outside of the box. I have great ideas for brands and collections but am simply rubbish at designing something that uses the idea but 'out of the box'

For example I thought I would like to do some jewellery based on the language of flowers but I cant get past the boring idea of just a flower resting on a ring... boring boring!

Then I thought I would like to do one on insects ...but couldn't get past a sculpted insect on a ring or hanging from a pendant etc etc ..boring...

I looked at Steven Websters Jelly Fish ring and its just perfect... it doesn't look like a jellyfish but simply has the 'essence' of a jelly fish...

please help with any exercises that might open my mind when trying to design arrange ,

Thanks so much I would really appreciate it !
Lou
