Wild Woman Bracelet

by Gloria-Jean Browne
(Muskoka, Canada)

This dangle bracelet is part of my Soul Journey series of bracelets called “Wild Woman”.

Myth, legend and symbols tells us what gems inspire us, what symbols guide us and what colors motivate us. So for this bracelet I used colorful beads that are wild & crazy and yet bold & beautiful.

Wearing these Soul Journey beads and symbols as a gentle reminder that what is wild and untamed is not something to be feared but something to be celebrated, explored and reveled in, on our own terms, and to use our inner strengths to live our lives to the fullest. Adding some wildness to our lives can be freeing emotionally and spiritually.

Here is the color symbolism for the different beads that I used:

The Wine color beads brings the passionate energy of red and the imagination and inspiration of purple. Orange lusts for life and its laughter is full-bodied. It is the color of creativity, enthusiasm, ambition and drive. Associated with joy, celebration, and enjoyment of the senses. Together the energy of these colors awaken the adventurous heart with freedom, vitality, power and dynamic force.

Turquoise is the color of communication, self awareness and initiative. Turquoise has more to do with feeling and creative expression than with rational thought.

The color Red brings passion and strength to your relationships, your life and your work. Bold and dynamic, confident and in control ~ willing to take risks

Garnets ~ This healing stone stirs up internal fires and enhances ones charisma and thirst for life.

Tiger Eye ~ Empowerment, courage, independence

Amethyst - Calming, balance of body, mind and soul

Carnelian ~ Life force, vitality, inspiration

Pearls ~ symbol of feminine strength and wisdom

Moonstone ~ Intuition, balance, wishes

Turquoise ~ Self realization, confidence

The Horse is about strength and freedom. It symbolizes that wild part of you that refuses to be captured, trained, corralled, roped or rode. The lesson of Horse is to learn about personal power and use it wisely with wisdom. Horses teach us how to go in new directions with freedom and the power to face life and overcoming obstacles with grace. We love horses because we relate to their instinct to be free, to run with the wind in our mane, our destination guided by the stars and our soul. As you wear this symbol you magnetize and energize your innate and unique characteristics of freedom, beauty, grace, power and valor.

The Wild Woman Goddess helps us all get in touch with that which is basic, wild and natural within in our hearts and souls to let loose of your instinct and wild spirit.

The Spiral signifies the essence of your own power, and daring to spiral it into the world and be the best You there is! She who is balance, courage, strength and beauty.

"Within every woman is a wild & natural
creature, a powerful force, filled with good instincts,
passionate creativity, and ageless knowing.
She is one who is both magic and medicine.
Her name is Wild Woman.”

Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes
